The launch took place on March 8th, International Women’s Day—a powerful reminder of the battles women have fought to break free from marginalization, silence, and invisibility. We honor this day as a call to recognize these struggles every day, because the fight for equality, freedom, safety, and self-determination is far from over.
In this inspiring webinar curators and artists explored the intersection of art, society, and politics through a female lens. This critical dialogue underscored the vital role of women’s voices in the arts and in society — voices that are too often marginalized or overlooked.
Through their shared experiences and perspectives, the participants highlighted the urgent need for greater visibility, recognition, and support for female narratives from Central and Eastern Europe in global contemporary art.
Nearly 150 new statements from artists across Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Kosovo, Poland, Serbia, and Slovakia are now available on the platform!
Plus, don’t miss the newly published essays by curators Adna Muslija (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Ivana Vaseva (North Macedonia), and Ana Ivanović (Montenegro). Their insights offer a powerful reflection on the role of women’s voices in shaping contemporary art and society.
